Formation

Formation dancing has a hugely successful part of the Stardust Dance Centre for over 35 years. We are well known across the country for our high standard of teams and have won many British Championships in all age groups. Being part of a formation team requires hard work and dedication as well as a weekly commitment to practice. Members range from 7 to 15 years of age and require a basic knowledge of dance and technique. We compete every year at Easter-time at the Junior British Championships in the Winter Gardens in Blackpool, which is the Mecca for Ballroom Dancing.

Formation is ideal for youngsters who want to express themselves but also enjoy working within a team environment.

Formation is open for any pupil to join but because of the high level of competition a place cannot be guaranteed.

• Northen Masters, Kings Hall, Stoke-on-Trent, Saturday 10^th March

• British Championships, Blackpool Winter Gardens, 14^th & 15^th April

• FTA Competition, Wolverhampton, Sunday 13^th May

• UK Championships, Watford, Sunday 24^th June

• Juvenile 4 Couple Formation Championship - All of the above

• Junior 4 couple Formation Championship - All of the above

I will be handing out a form about each of the formation competitions so you can order your tickets (with payment) in advance.  If you would be interested in travelling to Watford by coach please put your name down.
